The Kimanya-Ngeyo Foundation for Science and Education is a Bahai Inspired Non-Governmental Organization which was registered in July 2007. It has formed relationships with governmental agencies and like-minded organizations since that time. The structure of governance is a Council of Founders made up of 7 people and a Board of Directors made up of five people. The Council of Founders and the Board of Directors will not receive remuneration or directly/indirectly receive any profit, but will be entitled to reimbursement of necessary expenses in pursuance of their duties. The selection of the Board of Council of Founders and the Board of Directors is based on professional qualifications, qualities of selfless service, demonstrated abilities and active contribution to the goals and ideals of the Kimanya-Ng'eyo Foundation, both before and after appointment of service. The Board is appointed by the Council of Founders and three of the five members should be from the Council of Founders. The remaining two members are/will be term-limited Board members. These term-limited members will be elected by the Council of Founders for a period of two years and can be considered for re-election after that time.
