FUNDAEC, the acronym in Spanish for, The Foundation for the Application and Teaching of the Sciences, is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that has dedicated over 30 years to fostering processes of learning, training, and development in the rural areas of Colombia and an increasing number of countries -in Latin America. The founders of the Kimanya-Ngeyo Foundation recognized that the materials produced by FUNDAEC could well benefit the youth of Uganda and began a partnership in 1997 to offer PSA. From 2007 to 2010 FUNDAEC in collaboration with the Hewlett Foundation http://www.hewlett.org/ assisted the Kimanya-Ngeyo Foundation in its early stages with training support and assistance with the development of its institutional capacity. This ongoing relationship has proven to be very fruitful and much has been learnt through the sharing of experience
