The Ugandan Bahai Institute for Development
The Ugandan Bahai Institute for Development (UBID) offers a series of eight courses developed by the Ruhi Institute in Colombia. UBID takes a systematic approach to learning aimed at imparting knowledge, skills, spiritual insights into fundamental aspects of the teachings and practices of the Baha’i Faith in order to better ourselves and the conditions of the world. The program of the training institute consists of a sequence of courses offered at a central location or through study circles at the local level. The courses provide insight into the purpose of life and death, prayer, reflection on Holy Writings, walking a path of service, development of skills to teach children and junior youth, skills in home visiting and the ability to tutor courses. Experience thus far has shown that those PSA tutors and students who decide to study the courses of UBID further enhance their sense of purpose and their abilities to engage in actions that have a positive and transformative effect on themselves and their communities.
