Structure of Preparation for Social Action (PSA)

The Preparation for Social Action new groups are formed on a yearly basis. There are currently 3 units in operation in the Jinja, Bwiikwe and Kamuli districts. A unit is made up of 8 to 15 groups. Each group has 15-20 students and meets a minimum of three hours a day to study and to learn from the community as well as to share what they have learnt with the community. They engage the community in action wherever possible. A PSA group is accompanied by not more than 2 tutors. Sector Coordinators accompany tutors in each sector while Regional Coordinators accompany tutors in each region. The project team facilitate the practices and activities in each group as well as provide the necessities. The administration team works hand in hand with the coordinators to provide any assistance administratively to each group.
